MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I didn’t spot Father Christmas or any
reindeer fly by, but there are a lot of
albatrosses! ©Greenpeace/Jiri Rezac
"In my nine year old son's class at school, they were asked to create an ornament for their tree with a christmas wish written on it. Doon didn't ask for a Wii or pokemon cards or a new bike -- all things he truly covets -- but wrote "I hope that nobody kills the whales."
I join you in that one Doon. But please don't forget to enjoy the pumpkin pie (although to me it is a very strange thing to eat for Christmas).
There's been a lot of secrecy onboard lately - we've made gifts for a fellow crewmember. I fun making mine; it's actually more fun now than in it was in school since they wouldn't let me use power tools back then. We're out of wrapping paper, but a few newspapers and old charts should do the trick. It is almost time to go down and open the presents, so I say goodbye for now.
Still need to send a last-minute holiday greeting?

Hi Irene, Brian, ...and all of you really cool guys and gals on the Espy. ...and thank you for your testimony of Love in being where you are this Christmas day. I will think about you much this day and the ordeal that is yet to come, ...and can only hope and pray for your safety. You are all my heroes, my Light, and my inspiration. ...and you too Brian. Because for me my friend, ...and I've been waiting for the right time to say this, ...that you are one guy that rocks the planet more than anyone else I know. Don't ever think it goes unnoticed, ...by those who care. ...and what a gift to you, ...to find your child feeling that Love and Light you hold inside you - http://blog.brian-fitzgerald.net/.
Merry Christmas, and God bless you all as you carry his message of Love this day for all the world to see. Never be afraid to show your heart - http://www.gratefulchild.org/projects/gcweb/gc/html/charities/
