Grant - bosun

Freaks, my name is Grant, Kiwi born, Devon raised and bred. My home is now in New Zealand.
Sailing with Greenpeace was a childhood dream which became reality in -96, powerful thing ´em childhood dreams. Since then I have been lucky enough to follow many dreams and work with some real… characters… people who are passionate, and skilled in their work and endeavours, from many walks of life GP, NGO groups, boat builders, foresters, and over the last few years within the department of conservation, NZ, where I am fortunate to hold a Rangers position, and work among many highly skilled, committed staff and friends. Kia ora all.
Going to sea, yes you totally have to surrender to the journey, and embrace it, and for sure I will relish being home again, my sweetheart, friends, the lands, surfing, sailing, my work projects… it's all good.
The whaling hunt, is unacceptable, simple, on any level any angle it is senseless. Scientifically, commercially, financially, a misguided emotional complex, whatever?
This is not just about the right to whale, for me it is bigger, it is about the Oceans vitality and future abundance for all our nations, and life within. We have one very special planet, so we better take care of her.
cheers

Hi Grant - just got Viv's link.
Good luck to you & all on the Esperanza.
My card will have missed you by a few miles I'm sure but I hope you all had a good Christmas & Happy New year for when it happens!.
More importantly I wish you luck on behalf of the whales. Some countries want to give their scientists a seriously bad name!
All the Best, Clive

Hey mate, incoming mail issues perhaps? Never been quiet in my life!
Fantastic to hear you've found the buggers, keep em on the run! These webcams are such timewasters, didnt realise how much I miss that ever-changing view across the fo'c'sle, think I might have dealt to that bridge cam with a roll of duck tape by now tho!
Take care out there,

Just heard the update on Radio 4 at 13.20 h on Sunday 13 Jan that you've rattled the whalers and have them whining about their rights, as usual. Fingers crossed you have enough fuel to scupper their hunt and keep international focus on the Japanese authorities. It has to work sometime soon ...
