Heath - boat driver/engineer

I got involved with Greenpeace following a long career of working for socially irresponsible companies and organizations like Exxon Mobil, Monsanto, Lorillard, the Washington legal foundation etc. i woke up one morning and had one of those life changing epiphanies where you decide what you would do with your life if money didn't matter and you gave all your time and energy for free. Protecting the environment was my answer and so I did an exhaustive analysis of all the organizations trying to protect the planet and it was Greenpeace that I chose. Having lived in Washington DC, worked in the white house and both houses of congress I had lost confidence in the bureaucracy of politics and legislation. Of all the groups it was Greenpeace who was going to the scene of the crime and saying enough is enough this is wrong and you must stop right now.
This expedition is important for me because the ocean is my home. I live on the water, I am a ship's captain and scuba diving instructor by trade, and I spend every free moment in or on the ocean, it is my life, and it is in danger. I must save it. I must save it not only for myself but for generations to come.
When at sea I miss my girlfriend Whitney and my two cats Molly and Monster. I miss my Weber bar-b-q, shooting pool, long hot showers.
"You regret the things you didn't do much more than the things you did" Driving a rubber boat at high speed in front of an explosive tipped harpoon is scary. The thought of yet another species of amazing creatures becoming extinct is even scarier. "Do it yourself, and do it now".

I read about the things that you are doing to help stop the whale slaughter in an Australian newspaper this morning and wanted to say 'Thank you' and 'Best of Luck'. What you are doing is truly extraordinary.

I would like to convey this message to all the girls who have already sent a wedding proposal: most of us receive or make one wedding proposal in our lifetimes. We want this proposal to be memorable and very special. The best wedding proposals do not have to be fancy or involve major plans. They just need to be memorable. It is often said that a woman doesn’t know how to romance a man. It is not waiting for him on a couch in red lingerie, having a bowl of fresh, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne, and preparing the hot tub for him. It is not giving him a beer, feeding him and his buds on Super Bowl Sunday either… then standing back quietly so that they could actually watch the game. It is what I am about to send now to Heath the Semi-God… so behold women of the Earth, and learn from the Master.
Anything I might try to say to describe this man would merely diminish his greatness. He is the man I want to share my life with. I will not be grossed out when he burps really loud, or when he fills up the bed with his fart stench. He is definitely the man who will turn me on whilst cleaning the pool wearing his G string, showing me that big Harley Davidson tattoo on his back. In short Heath is the man of my dreams.
I would have wanted to propose to you in bed, but this is all I can manage right now, so I go down on my knees and ask you: Heath, will you be my husband?
