Anne

Medic/Deckhand

Hometown - Sydney, Australia

I've been volunteering for a few years now with Greenpeace local groups in Australia, and just recently started working as a medic/deckhand on the ships. I really feel so much better that I'm able to do a small bit to protect what's left of our natural world, and that I'm doing it with such a great group of people.

Greenpeace is a fairly high profile, international organisation and while this can sometimes be a bad thing, it also means we can reach more people with our message, and we can change things that need changing very quickly.

I'm probably proudest of the work Greenpeace does on toxics and forestry issues, in less-developed countries such as Saipan, India and Papua New Guinea. Climate change is another big issue for me.
