The world's beaches are in trouble!

Shipbreaking takes place in poor countries, where once pretty beaches in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Turkey are turned into ship graveyards. However, old ships contain hazardous substances such as asbestos, lead paint and PCBs, which are released into the environment. The Rainbow Warrior is in India to visit the shipbreaking yards. Evedien from the Netherlands is on board....

House arrest

guard.jpgWe're all under house arrest in Bombay. Although the Rainbow Warrior has been finally allowed to dock at the port after having been detained outside Bombay anchorage for 6 days, we (the crew) are not being allowed to disembark. It's strange that we're so close to India, but we cannot enter the country. We have guards standing at our gangway and policemen are standing ashore to see who enters and leaves the ship.

crew-rainbow-warrior.jpgWe made a letter to send to four Ministers in India. They have the power to let us in. We need all the help we can get! So if you want to help us out, you can download this letter and fax it to one of the Ministers, or to all. The more letters they receive the better. Download the letter here! Thanks for your help! I will keep everyone updated.

It seems to me that it is an irony to allow that the boys should starve since they are the future of the world. Logically deberian the food to provide them to the places needed from the world.
A good serious action that Bush together with his European Friends back of spending(consuming) money in the war gives this money to the poor places of the world....
and....sorry i donīt speak english very well...
