The salt lake

During our trip in the minibus from Incirlik to Ankara, we made several stops; one was at the salt lake “Tuz Golu”. It is very large yet at the same time extremely shallow. As we ran towards it, we noticed that the salt was very soft. Strangely enough when we stepped into the water we were in for a big surprise as the salt in the water became very hard and sharp and stuck into our feet. From there it was “ow-ow-ow’s”, there was not a single sound or living creature to spot. The sun was setting at that moment and very beautiful colours appeared in the sky. We were all in a good mood and started half to dance. We felt recharged to continue the trip to Ankara ;)
