Nostalgia

Ozgun cheking the weblog
From Omar
I'm sitting at the balcony of Ozgun's flat in Izmir, one of the many wonderful people I met during my stay in Turkey.
Izmir is worlds apart from Incirlik, but somehow I can't help but feel a surprising kind of nostalgia for our embassy their. I miss the people that kept it alive for a month.
We all needed some time off to recharge our batteries. In a few days I’ll leave Turkey and head back to work, but I’ll be checking often for comments and I’ll try to post some entries every now and then, maybe just anecdotes or stories about my stay in Incirlik. I’ll go through the piles of pictures and post some as well.
Thanks to all the people who “kept an eye” on our weblog.

The peace camp was too sucessful to be phased.
Don't you think so?
Can't you leave somebody permanent there in Incirlik, to keep aneye there.

Hi, I am an American student working in Adana for the summer. Is there anyone left from Greenpeace in the area? I would like to meet up with them and learn more about the ongoing campaign. Please email me at gaugust@umich.edu
