Finally, there’s a cool breeze this morning. It seems that the heat wave is loosening its grip on the village.
Today we’re giving a presentation at the local high school. We pack the laptop, the projector, different Greenpeace banners and leaflets and off we go.
The horror. The news hit us and we just stand dumbfounded; we’re informed by the headmaster that a schoolboy was ambushed and shot five times.
The absurdity of death is even greater when it claims such a young person in this violent manner.
Akira Kurusawa’s “Rhapsody in August” is the film we’re projecting tonight at a local pub in Adana. I wonder how well will I cope with more gloom.

En sonunda bu sabah biraz esinti çıktı.Köyü etkisine alan sıcak hava galiba baskısını azaltıyor.
Bugün köy lisesinde bir sunum yaptık.Dizüstü bilgisayarı,projektörü değişik Greenpeace afişlerini ve bröşürlerini toplatıp yola koyulduk.
Bizi derin üzütüye garkeden bir haber aldık.Bir okul talebesi pusuya düşürülerek bir kurşunla öldürülmüş.Bu öldürmenin tuhaflığı hele hele böylesi genç bir kurban seçilmesine şaştık kaldık.
Adana’da yerel bir localde Akira Kurusawa’nın “Ağustosta Rapsodi” filmini oynattık.Böylesi kasvetle nasıl başa çıkacağımızı bilmiyoruz.
