A paradise moment

The life in the forest gives me endless energy.

I close my eyes. It is full moon tonight. It shines onto Lake Murray, and filters through the leaves. There are some whispers from Camp Kewe but suddenly, the quiet night was broken by something—somebody plunges into the lake!

Looking at the beautiful night, and considering my smelly body after a hard day's work, I couldn't do anything else but just jump into the lake. You don’t need to consider anyone seeing you as there are no street lights around. I pulled off all my clothes and just dove in.

The first day I took shower here, Kyoko, a volunteer from Japan, told me it is not necessary to use any shampoo or soap. There's no need! Yes, you find your body is clean and your hair is soft even when you do not use any chemicals. We don’t need to bring them here.

I am sleeping in the clear and cool water. I almost close my eyes and stare at the moon. Who is the richest group in the world? Probably the people in Lake Murray. They find their food every day, start to work when the sun rises and take rest when sun set. Is it the life people want to have in Hong Kong after retirement?

It is a paradise.

Ya, dear Thomas, you can contact greenpeace in your country, to see if you can also get the chance to go to Paradise Forest. It is a lovely place, but need our help to protect it!
