Hi, I'm Nigel. I'm 39-years-old and I recently became the Chief Media Officer at Greenpeace International in The Netherlands.

The GFRS is a brilliant combination of education, community empowerment and direct on-the-ground activity. I've been lucky enough to read the theory and then see it in action - and it really does work. By establishing healthy local ecoforestry businesses, the project encourages a long term sustainable partnership between local people and the environment, which improves their standard of living whilst preserving their way of life and protecting this amazing natural resource.
