Ginger, campaigner, Greenpeace USA
Hello my name is Ginger Cassady, I'm 28 years old and I’m a campaigner for Greenpeace USA, based out of San Francisco. I’ve been with Greenpeace for a little over three years, and it’s my third time campaigning on a ship.
Before joining the organisation, I was a student at the University of Colorado in Boulder. During that time I become more and more aware of the social and environmental injustices that are taking place throughout the world. And I knew that my future must involve exposing all the people, companies and governments who are responsible for these crimes.
That’s why I’m working for an organisation like Greenpeace today, because they go to the frontlines to draw attention to critical issues – hopefully the end result will be a world that’s safe, healthy and sustainable.
I feel fortunate to be a part of the Paradise Forests campaign. It’s a beautiful region where culture thrives and the natural environment contains an amazing amount of biodiversity. Hopefully through our work we can help protect the last remaining ancient forests for the local communities and all the other species it sustains.
