Christy

Hi,

I'm Christy, I'm 29 and a forest campaigner from Canada. I'm excited to be here helping protect the magnificent Paradise Forests, and supporting the local people in their move to take back control of their land and their resources.

There are so many things that are different about the Paradie Forests from the forest I work at protecting back home - the trees, the animals, the cultures, the climate - but unfortunately a lot of the threats from large-scale industrial logging are the same. Hopefully by being here I can help put an end to illegal and destructive logging in Papua New Guinea, and gain new insights that will help us end clearcutting in Canada's Boreal forest, too.
