My name is Canan, I am 28 and I am from Istanbul, Turkey. I am a volunteer dec hand and this is my first trip on the Rainbow Warrior. My background is in biology and environmental sciences.
I joined Greenpeace in 2000. I want to play a part in helping to protect the forest ecosystems as they are part of the world's heritage.
To work with people from all over the world and share in different cultures is amazing. We all have the same concerns about the environment and admire the brave local people.
Hopefully, our actions will help to stop the destruction of environment. To solve global environmental problems we need to act together. Fighting against these problems is my priority.
