Cally, GFRS volunteer, Australia
Greetings to all, my name’s Cally and I have come from Australia to join in and learn from this incredible project.
I realised how effective it is to empower people with solutions when I started fundraising for Greenpeace 5 years ago. Meeting a myriad of people who are only too happy to help with protecting this earth and its inhabitants has constantly humbled and inspired me to keep working towards the answers. I seriously believe that where thought goes, energy goes. Here, energy is being put into the solution, with the guide of the traditional land owners.
Travelling around Australia and working for various environmental and humanitarian organisations, I have seen how much people care, how much they are willing to help, and how much they can!
I took last year off from fundraising to study the first year of a Chinese medicine course, which added a whole new element to my understanding of how much we need forests. Not just for food and air, but also for thousands of health treatments.
All life is precious and here is a chance to protect it.
