Luisfer

Chief engineer

Colombia

....I thought I was being invited to a holiday tour around some Pacific islands !!! .... has anybody seen my travel agent?.

After a very rude wake up call (no colombian coffee and freshly baked bread with it), they make me work all day long in a hot, noisy and oily pit-hole ... Today I was showered with stuff from the sewage treatment plant, yak!. I get two breaks a day that I try to spend photo-synthesizing a little bit on deck. Lunch and dinner are served at odd times, and I'm running out of prayers to use everytime I see the crazy Filipino cook (his eyes shine in a very mysterious way every time we beg him for at least "a bite" of icecream ... can you believe that?) choosing a CD to play on the galley's stereo.

My room is so small that I can't even hang a hammock in it (not to mention the impossibility to throw a wild party). And besides having to share MY toilet and MY shower with the guy next door (he seems to run the show, some people call him "kept'n" or something like that), I've got to clean it every now and then.

I'm fearing for my safety, this place is full of weirdos. Then, there's the "skinhead" Club with a steadily growing membership... these are very scary looking guys, you don't want to mess with them.

Hum, and the women.... it's easy to be misguided by their angelical eyes, but, one has only to see them pulling ropes on deck or driving a boat to understand that - as with the dudes - you don't wanna step in their path. This is bad man. Mark my words, it can't get any worse.

... has anybody seen my travel agent?
