Slideshow: Southern Beauty

Here's a slideshow showing some of the nature and seascapes of the Southern Ocean. Some of these images, like the southern rightwhale dolphin, were shot north of the Antarctic Convergence, while others are very obviously in the depths of the Antarctic. The orca was seen within sight of the Nisshin Maru - so this should give you some idea of what may be under environmental threat in these waters.

Great shots! Makes the Antartica environment and Greenpeace's efforts and concerns come to life...a picture is worth a thousand words indeed.

Very nice icebergs.
We prefer these kind of pictures, above the red painted one`s we saw earlier.
Perhaps we see soon the Esperansa towing a huge FISH to the "visafslag". Jan Dev.(Bigfish selling market?).

no se que piensa hacer nuestro govierno para que la parteártica de nuestro planeta continue tan bonita como hasta ahora, supongo que contaminar el planeta les debe dar más dinero que protegerlo para un futuro próximo, así es como desgraciadamente funciona nuestra política
