What do you spend your day with on the Esperanza? So far, trying to move things to make other things happen. I have spent too much time in front of the computer, which is not very usual, but this time is like this. If I can help with some duties, I put my name in a list to clean the mess room after dinner, do laundry or anything else.

What is your history with Greenpeace?
I joined Greenpeace 10 years ago as a volunteer in Mexico City, then I got more involved in actions and campaign work. I've done many things here. I have also been working in short term projects, like translating documents during a toxic tour in Latin America with the Arctic Sunrise and doing logistics for the Greenpeace delegation attending the WTO meeting in Cancun, Mexico. Once I sailed on the Rainbow Warrior around the UK and visited Spain after the Prestige accident. I have been involved in a couple of international actions and now I work as volunteers and action co-ordinator in Mexico City.

What personal connection do you have with the sea?
I love sea, its constant movement as everything in the universe, humans should keep moving too. All the life in the sea never stops surprising me, sometimes we cannot even see it, but it's there. It is a shame humans keep exploiting and polluting it.

What makes you the best/worst cabin mate?
My mobile can ring at 6am, I go to bed late but try not to make noises, but you know, for some reason when you try not to make noises you make more than usual. If I wake up and you see me standing in front of the mirror I am not able to say good morning as my mind is still with Morpheus.
