Heike - Web Editor

From: Germany
I joined Greenpeace as press officer in Germany but stopped two years ago because I wanted to be a journalist again. However a part of my heart always stayed... I now still do the German children's website and will also look for some stories for the kids here. I think the Esperanza is full of secrets to discover! What impresses me the most so far is... the food, to be honest. It's incredible what magic our cook Charles performs every day! I think it's great when people put so much passion in their profession.
I am also very much looking forward to meet the local people on the Philippine islands who also try to protect the ocean, because they depend on it. After all it's a question of who this world and its natural treasures are for: For a small few - or for everybody.

Hi Heike
I wish you a nice trip onboard of the Esperenza.
Hey, can you tell us about the dishes available abroad? :)
Peace for you
Hi Bilel,
thanks for the interest. The food is indeed not easy to describe. Today for example it was omelettes with asparagus. But it's not the food in such that I mean - it's the way it is made: With normal ingredients, but put together with a lot of thought and care. In this way the food is only an example of how everybody cares about his work on the Esperanza and tries to do it really good. You can taste it!
Cheers, Heike

Hi Heike,
we saw you on the webcam yesterday. It was great! Every morning we go to the computer to see, how the weather is like over there. One time the horizon was really inclined because of the waves!

Hallo Heike,
Bin gerade auf eurer Homepage etwas rumgesurft. Bin schwer beeindruckt, was du da leistest - einfach genial. Super ist übrigens auch die Kids-Site. Werde ich meinen beiden Mädels (Sophie, 9, und Cécile, 8) am Wochenende gleich zeigen.
Viel Erfolg!
Grüsse aus der Schweiz vom Cousin
