An elegy for you, my friend whale shark

You have played with my grandparents, my parents, my brothers and sisters and friends...
Your are big... But, you are harmless, sometimes... my grandfather got mad at you coz you accidentally got into his fish pens, yet he never hurt you.
Many times my father scolded you, coz, you are interrupting his trip to the sea and his propeller broke coz you are there in the pathways not his own but yours,
You have wounds and get hurt because of this, but you never cried and complained.
Eight years ago, you surprised everyone and all, you called the universal attention,
You caught the whole world enthusiasm.
To come into my place - Donsol,
To watch you, swim, interact and play with you.
The BEST EXPERIENCE - everyone encounters.
Many lives change, even mine... and all, from starving to a little fortune!
You give us the international recognition,
The "WHALE SHARK CAPITOL OF THE WORLD".
That no one can take away from us, coz you congregate in your PARADISE - that is DONSOL, you are beautiful - gentle - harmless - and the continuity of our LIVES!
A week ago we were dismayed by that tragic news, you are killed, in that far islands, where you intend to explore; maybe for a change... or an adventure...
Distressed and Horrified of what caused your death...
We rescued to recover you and bring you back home!

Realizing you have wounds and scars.
These crushed our hearts and even bitter when we dig a grave for you
Here at the beautiful coastlines of Dancalan
May 25 night a grieving moment, we buried you... lamenting...
Tears and heartache... of what our fellowmen did to you,
of the ingratitude the HUMAN RACE gave you in return.
Your are lifeless, you are in your grave...
Your memoirs will always remain in our hearts
As we capture the calmness of the Seas...
You will always remain in our hearts...
We will always remember your heroic and gentle swim as you continue to extend LIFE to us,
My friend, this day is a great day...
That out everyone's lamentation...
We give this great HONOR and DEDICATION...
That somewhere in time we were
Together in the vast OCEANS
Enjoy ourselves, give happiness to you tourists and to OURSELVES...

Wow! that one brought tears to my eyes...I wish that next time people will be gentle with our ocean friends. Very sad to happen....
