Take action: tell Denmark not to vote against whales

From Adele in the Greenpeace office in Stockholm

Denmark cast a deciding vote against the whales at this year's International Whaling Commission meeting. With a one vote majority the whalers passed a resolution promoting the absurd and scientifically discredited idea that whales are to blame for the worldwide decline in fish stocks, and a return to full scale commercial whaling.

Most people in Denmark are against commercial whaling. So why is their government voting in favour of it?

Help us bring the government of Denmark back on side, and in line with what its own citizens want. Send this message to the Prime Minister of Denmark and ask him to change Denmark's policy.

This is sick. How in the name of god are whales to blame for lack of fish stocks?! Most of them don't even eat fish for gods sake!!

It's terrible to what they are doing to the whale population. Which gives us the question, 'why do they want whale meat with such desperation, to fabricate lies about the majority of an animal species?' If such a time comes, who can we blame for the decimation of the whale population and how can we punish those responsible?

It's in my opinion that there will be responsibility handed out and nothing at all would be done to punish those who have slaughtered a species to its death.

What must be done to show that the elimination of this species will have severe effects on the ecosystem?
