Webcam: Conakry, Guinea
by Dave, onboard the Esperanza
(updated at 13:30 Amsterdam time) Morning all - we're currently anchored off Conakry, Guinea, where we're handing over the arrested pirate fishing vessel to the local authorities. The webcam is currently pointing inland, towards the river, so who knows what you might see - we've got a partial solar eclipse happening in the next few minutes! So where are we exactly? Well, check out this highly technical mapping device we put together earlier... (click the small photo!)
The red arrow points to Conakry, where we're currently anchored. Note correct colour of Tweety's cousin (we need a name!... Sylvester?)
And here's a chart, showing the approaches to Conakry:

Quick Dave - aim the webcam at the sun...

Wouldn't have done much good - it's a wide angle lens, all you would have seen was glare!
I'm currently editing photos, will post them soon...

Hey Dave
What happened - I am seeing the same shot taken at 9:43 - no updates. My side or yours? Aaaaah this is so frustrating!!!

We were moving the webcam to the bridge wing, to give you a good view of Conakry!

Notice the thumb-nail picture of the model Esperanza placed on the wall map of Africa. The model suffered in the weather of the Southern Ocean and has recently been restored by Ed, he's also matched the colour of the helicopter with our new reality.
