Originally from Somerset in Southwest England, I grew up on a farm nowhere near the sea. My role is to arrange action and logistics elements of this pirate fishing expedition - this includes air, sea and land elements, which, combined together, can expose illegal fishing practices which are plundering West African fishing grounds, just to put cheap shrimp on European plates.

I look forward to seeing the work we do make a difference, and that it's the beginning of the end of pirate fishing practices.

I have been involved in Greenpeace since 1989, when I started work in a small warehouse in the East End of London looking after equipment for Greeenpeace. Since then I have worked on numerous projects around the world, from toxics in India to climate change in Alaska. Ive worked in Greenpeace offices as warehouse manager, action coordinator and unit head.I also worked on Greenpeace ships as deckhand , engine room asssistant outboard mechanic and logistics coordinator.
