Happy birthday to a friend

by Mike (Sparky), onboard the Esperanza

©Greenpeace
Hi, my name is Mike; I am the electrician on the Esperanza. A couple of trips ago I met Remon here on the Esperanza. He is a welder and fitter, so we both belong to the engineering department. We got to know each other trip by trip and we are good friends by now. We were lucky again this time and joined the ship together at the same time in Cape Town. Anyway, today it is Remon's 30th birthday so I want to say 'gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag' to my friend!

I met him a couple of years ago, and he still keeps his blue eyes and nice smile. ANd his Welding workshop too!! Fzzzzzzz, clinggg, fzzz. No matters what needs to be welded, he does so! No matter what specific wierd pipe stuff it needs to be created, he does so. No matter which boat, he drives her!! Enjoy the barbecue!!

Happy 30'th Remon.

Not only a welder and master ship's builder, but a climber, boat driver and now a videographer and editor too, there is no end to your talents. It is an honor to sail with someone living life as deliberately as you.

Gelukige verjaars dag

Hey, Remon!

Did u go out last night? I didn't. Well, kind of. Stayed chilled out around, in between the lounge and the ECR, five minutes here & there. Big Plan, eh? Do 'ya wanna join next time? All the others were too lazy to stay longer, but sh*** u were sleeping already, eh? La... Ba...

M1

P.S. What i didnt tell u was my plan before that, with quite a few feet lotions and stuff, relaxing; nor I'm gonna tell u my plans for tomorrow, {another lazy sunday (and yes, for those who dont' know, I'm still greasing)}: swimming, hairdressing, massage. Dreaming is good, ...till u wake up.

Hey Legs!

I hope you had a wonderful birthday with lots of crazy games (without the stitches this time)!

I wish I could be out there with you chasing pirates in the sun - I'm really bored of this long European winter. Good luck!
