Yuko - Campaigner

I am a campaigner from Greenpeace Japan. Every time I come on board a Greenpeace
ship and see the multinational crews, and the support from the offices of
various countries, I am encouraged by the global network we have. This global
network is a strong power enabling us to move campaigns forward, especially
this time, during our long-term campaign "Defending Our Oceans", which will
see us sailing through the oceans of the world.
This is my second expedition to the Southern Ocean. I never thought I would come
back here again... but you can't tell your destiny. One of the differences of
a Southern Ocean expedition compared to others is that you are not stopping by
any land (port) for the few months of the voyage. You miss having a stable bed,
and in my case I miss Japanese food... but in return we get to see amazing floating
icebergs, wandering albatrosses, and hopefully whales, in this grand Southern
Ocean :)

Hi Yuko...,
...and thank you so much. I'm just wishing to let you know I've completed a new page on my website, ...and well, ...it's dedicated to you and Hana. I do hope your internet connection problems are being resolved on the Esperanza, ...it will take a high speed internet connection to access. I'm a bit concerned that some people may not understand that the people on the whaling ships do not reflect what is in the hearts of your beautiful and Loving people. So this page and song is for you, ...Land of the Rising Sun - http://www.gratefulchild.org/projects/gcweb/gc/html/audio/. I do hope you enjoy it. Take care out there, ...wishing you Love and Light ...and a safe trip home, ...Wes/Grateful Child

Hi Yuko,
I hope that the seas are calm and your bed is a little more stable!
The food is not too bad on board? I'll bet that you got something good for Christmas. Great to see that you and Jeremy managed to get the working holiday together and that you are enjoying your time in the Antarctic.
A brilliant website for us to see whats going on in the Southern Ocean. have a great time, Stephen

Hi Yuko,
You must be missing the comforts of home and your lovely Tokyo apartment.
I have a few packs of Scottish 'Arran' body lotions, shower gels etc to send to you when you get home and need a little pampering.
The Sushi will taste so good. Something to really look forward to.
Stephen
