Maite - Deckhand

Crew.
Deckhand

Palma de Mallorca, Spain

How did you come to work for Greenpeace?
I started volunteering for Greenpeace in 1997 as a deckhand on a sailing vessel called Zorba which was used for an educational project for adults. I became a member of Spanish National Assembly and after that I worked for Greenpeace Spain for two years on the Zorba project.

Why is this expedition important to you?
All my life I have wanted to be part of Greenpeace ships. There's no other place better to be and no other job better than this for me. I am very happy to be in this campaign. I will do my best to save as many whales as possible. All the effort and suffering will be compensated if we achieve our aims!
