How did you come to work for Greenpeace?
I've dreamt of working on the Greenpeace ships and in particular on this expedition ever since I first saw the Greenpeace footage of whales being harpooned when I was a little girl. About five years ago in the midst of feeling powerless and overwhelmed by general world events I decided it was time for me to do something besides recycling my ever increasing piles of wine bottles. So I joined my local Greenpeace volunteer group, one thing led to another and I've been working for Greenpeace on and off both voluntarily and paid since then.

Why am I here? I just want to contribute in any way I can to stop whaling. Taking action and making a bit of a ruckus about things that cause pain and suffering to other beings, especially if they can't talk for themselves, is the price I feel I need to pay for my spot on this amazing little planet. I also want to see a penguin.

Heh Lally, just heard you were onboard as a Web Ed for Greenpeace. WELL DONE YOU!

And well done Greenpeace for interecepting the Japanese Whaling Fleet. I hope the rest of the world sees through their scientific whaling sham and takes action, immmediately.

And the more individuals that sign-up to 'defend our oceans' the more chance there is...

With love and support for the work you are doing.

Hope your and your shipmates' spirits remain high.
