4th mate (Esperanza)

I'm one of the many clogies on board (Dutch) Hometown: Marken a little beautiful island in the IJsselmeer near Amsterdam Watchkeeper / deckhand

Why Greenpeace: One of the few organisations that tries to stop the rat race from consuming and destroying all the worlds recourses. And I like to play a little part in that. Wandering around in this great Southern Ocean as we are doing at the moment, you realise how much beauty there still is out there and might still be there in a million years if we stop molesting it in time. Yesterday was better than many Christmas eaves to me; we were surrounded by at least a 100 huge icebergs in even more than 100 shapes and sizes. The colours of the sunset were just incredible. At the same time the light mantled sooty albatrosses were making fly bys on the bridge wings..... To preserve that is an honour.
