Dave - Chief Engineer

Co. Meath, Ireland
How did you come to work for Greenpeace?
I was working on an Irish sea ferry, not the most exciting of jobs when
I saw an advert in an union newsletter promising excitement and a modest wage
to do your bit for the planet. A week after joining I was in a Rib (inflatable
speedboat), with my passport, a hundred kroner note and a bar of chocolate
wrapped in a plastic bag, in an action against whalers off Norwegian coast.
That was over 11 years ago.
What are you looking forward to most on this tour?
A successful finish.
What do you love most about working on the Greenpeace ships?
The crew, I have made a number of very good friends from many different parts
of the planet.
