It seems it's going to be another grim year in the Arctic. The Ice Sheets have reached their maximum extent for the year, and it's the fifth lowest on record.

To who this concerns,
I have just been reading online about the melting Ice Caps and am thoroughly disgusted that humanity, and our governments have allowed this, and are STILL allowing this to happen.
When are we going to move out of our 1950's way of thinking and move into the century we're in?
There were major changes and objections with the industrial revolution, but it happened and moved us forward. I can't understand why we remain stuck in our old habits, and refuse to make changes that will avoid all this death and destruction, and lead us into a better way of living.
Everyone whinges about saving jobs in coal mines etc, but what about the tourism jobs that will go when our Barrier reef becomes a baron, devastating wasteland?
What about when we do not have enough food to supply the planet?
Why are the people with the power to make decisions not doing a bloody thing about it?!
It is a real shame what we are allowing to happen, and if you who is reading this disagree with me, then what are you doing in a position where you get to read this letter?
Please do something to help turn this situation around.
hi bianca
i dont disagree with you at all.
i doubt that anyone in their right mind would.
however,my opinion is that the so called people in power
don,t have any real power to make change take affect
they are merely puppets who in turn are controlled by nonvoters like corporations and very big companies
this has the consequence that democracy does not exist, only in name and the words we are permitted to use here on this site for instance,if you look at the world today you,l find its one big police state, may i recommended that you watch the documentary ;the corporation;availeble on dvd
or try to contact me via the adress and i,ll get you copy
