SSCS and whalers clash
There was an incident a few hours ago where the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society ships clashed with one of the ships in the whaling fleet.
You can read everything we know about it in Dave's weblog from on board the Esperanza. Since we weren't there, he only has the conflicting accounts from both sides to go on.

I do regret that some collision has occurred between the Japanese whaling vessel Kaiko Maru and the Sea Shepherd vessel Robert Hunter. But I do applaud at the crews of the two anti-whaling vessels for having chased the whaler which has nothing to do in the Antarctic Whale Sanctuary.
I do hope that the Esperanza will soon arrive there in order to help the Sea Shepherd vessels halting the slaughter of whales

peacefully or not it's good to see Robert Hunters name sake doing battle to protect whales in the southern oceans, I'm sure Robert would be proud.

Does anyone have Glenn Inwood's email address, I want to email him and tell him how much of a wanker he sounded this morning on NZ's National Radio. He spoke as if the entire western world would back him up in favour of Japan's "scientific endeavours" in the Ross Sea. I wonder if he has any idea just how out of touch he is.
