Rome up-date

Romeaction3.jpg
Following the action at the World Food Business Summit in Rome yesterday, 33 of our protestors were arrested. However that didn't stop two of activists infiltrating the Summit's cocktail party later on that evening carrying a brief case containing special audio equipment to play the recording of our consumers saying no to GMOs.

Unfortunately these two activists received the same treatment as our other protestors and were ejected from the cocktail party after a few minutes, only to be arrested by the police. Yet again rather than enter into dialogue with Greenpeace regarding the wishes of European consumers, the delegates preferred to hand us over to the authorities.

All 35 of our activists were released in the early hours of the morning, two of them had to be taken to the emergency room after being rough-up during the arrest earlier on in the evening, but were fine.
