Chile launches Consumer Guide

chile2.jpg
The first ever GE Consumer Guide was launched in Chile over the week end in Santiago City, to mark the launch our local volunteers handed out the guide to consumers in the busy shopping spots to inform consumers about non-GE products on the market.

A lunch was prepared with non-GE food for public and politicians, and laid out on a table 15 meters long. Our volunteers were blindfolded to illustrate how consumers have been blind to the affects of GE agriculture on the land and in the food chain as well as the blindness of the government, which has not implemented sufficient regulations to control GE.

During our global anti GE campaign Consumer Guides and red/green lists are being released in more than 20 countries in the Americas, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
