Feeding Pigs, Not People
Forget the GE industry spin about GMOs solving world hunger. Current GE crops are grown to sell pesticides and are used to feed pigs, chickens and cows in the rich part of the world. Around 80% of GE soya is being used in animal feed. These millions of tons of GE soya are sneaking into the food chain largely unnoticed because the end products (meat, dairy, eggs) do not require to be labelled.

Current GE crops offer absolutely no benefits to consumers, farmers or the environment anywhere in the world. They do however benefit the GE corporations that develop and patent them, like US-based Monsanto that has developed a staggering 91% of all GE crops. With a past history as one of the world's most notorious chemical polluters, would you trust Monsanto products in your food and on your fields?

As part of our campaign we are conducting surveys throughout Europe to identify which products and brands are based on GE crops and to make this information available to consumers.
