Sámi concert in Inari
On Sunday evening we visited a Sámi concert in Inari. The crowd was very different than expected - most people attending were dressed up in normal clothes - rather than traditional Sámi clothes.
In the early evening the music was also quite modern, kind of jazzy. Later, there was a change of artists and a woman in Sámi dress came on stage. She sang real Sámi songs - strange but beautiful. Her voice was fantastic. The attendees were also interesting - seemed that almost all the inhabitants of Inari were there, plus some German and Swiss tourist. Though we didn't wear any Greenpeace clothing some people recognised us. Some of them were really kind and told us that we were doing a good job. Others were less friendly. Two people came and told us that we should stick our nose in our own business, not theirs. We invited them to come and sit at our table and talk about it, and they did. We had a good discussion and we invited them to come and visit us at the camp. Though they still didn't agree with us they accepted the invitation.

I don't don't know - I'll have to check that one for you! Did you attend? Didn't make it myself.
