Meet Achim: Activist and Writer

Name: Achim
From: Germany, Region Nationalpark Kellerwald-Edersee
Job: Bookwriter
What are you doing so far north?
I'm looking south, to where all the Finnish ancient forests are still being exported to.
Have you been out in the woods before? What happened?
Every day, when I go downtown. In Germany you don't have to go this far - you can go to a kiosk and be surrounded by magazines made from ancient forests. You know, beautiful forests!
What animal do you most resemble?
"The magnificent seven" of the Greenpeace-Urwaldpostamt (ancient forest postoffice): Jaguar, huemel (Chilean deer), Siberian tiger, forest elephant, wolf, bear and orangutan.
What's the most important survival item?
(e.g. chocolate/ipod/tea etc.)
I need the opposite of white snow, every day too - like Finnish chocolate, Swedish chocolate and black coffee.
Arctic Finland: Too cold, a bit cold, warm, or too damned warm?
There are some hot spots here - the last european ancient forests. I‘m getting cold just thinking about the logging in these areas.

Well I guess you germans have to come here to save the ancient Forests of Lapland.
After all, you've already destroyed all the forests in your homeland.
By the way, thanks for burning the Lapland after war, again. Keeping up the great tradition?

I would like to apologise for my first comment. I was in a very emotional state of mind. Peace.
