the problem is, that if we were to stop making these crops, then millions would die, not to say that millions are not already starving, but you would further the global death toll. im not sure which middle eastren country it was that we were trying to give, for free, millions of tons of food. they rejected it because greenpeace told that government that these modified crops could have adverse affects on people. we have been eating modified crops of some sort since the time man has been able to plant and harvest crops. has man dropped dead since then? obviously not. these crops have so far have not had any effect on man, expect make us fatter.

I've read your "nice" letters and I do think that the world needs lots of Associations like Greenpeace in order to let people (not only corporations, governments and Research institutes) apply a general, simple " precautionary principle", starting from the way to express their thoughts - if we do not learn to have respect of someonelse's opinion it will be impossible to struggle against the war, hunger and all the other beautiful results of our "freedom" and "progress".
