Hi. Roger Grace here, again! just wanted to tell you a little about our dives in Italy. If you want the full story check the report Beneath Italian Seas. Our first dive at portofino set the scene, with lots of big fish; grouper, snappers, a school of striped salpa, and pretty purple gorgonians. This was in a protected area which is obviously working well. Unfortunately, after that, we saw no more big fish. In fact it was hard to find any fish longer than 20 cm. The seas in Italy have been fished so hard for so long that there are hardly any fish left!
Let's do something Now, before it is too late. Portofino shows that with good protection, recovery is possible. The Med deserves Marine Reserves.
