Life, energy, and hope

The most beautiful and inspiring thing about being in Istanbul is the number of passionate and devoted volunteers and members we have met and are still sharing our days with. They've come from various places of Turkey to meet the Warrior and its crew and to tell the Turkish people about our campaigns and actions onboard of our green ship.
We are fighting to save our seas and oceans in a very difficult time, for the political situation in the Mediterranean and the Middle East is getting worse by the day. All the crew and volunteers here are against this violence and want all wars in all countries to end NOW.

But meanwhile, to live peacefully together, we need also to keep our environment protected and safe, for saving it, is also a path that can lead us to spread peace around. These days have not been easy to the Mediterranean people and we need all your support to help our water, land and mostly people, from the atrocities and violations that we are facing. Taking lives as well as damaging our environment are acts of violence that we are strongly against.
Our open-boat day has been very crowded and busy with our Turkish supporters, which are visiting our sailing home, encouraging us in our campaign, and expressing their concerns.

The Warrior is full of life, energy and hope!

hey hiba!
i pray everyday for this stupid erruption of violence to end...

it's so sad here, people are diying for no reason(in both sides)..innocent peacfull people..kids..

but this stupidity will not win eventually for there is us, peace people that dont look at their friends and brothers as enemies, that do not agree with such primitive concepts of "enemies"

us, me, you, most of the younger generation, i believe will be the last to experince such stupid and sad times...well i know that at least from my perspective i'm not willing to take ANY part in this absurd, only to take side of humanity, solidarity, and P-E-A-C-E!

missles dont discriminate...no matter what the intention was...well, common sense it seems, is not so common after all..

from your friend and for short time deckhand on the Rainbow Warrior, ilai.
A Warrior of The Rainbow.

I was one of the Turkish people that participated in the open-boat day tour, and it was great just to meet the crew and be able to step foot on a piece of Greenpeace history. I had goose bump walking up the gang plank onto the RW, and it was a sad moment stepping off the ship.

I may have been on the ship for less than 30 mins but when you feel that the people there share your viewpoint on so many levels, for however short a time you feel like you belong. Like you could just leave with it on Tuesday and you wouldn't feel the least bit like a stranger.

Thanks to the crew and volunteers for their continuing dedication to the cause. May your path be open wherever Greenpeace's next agenda for nature and the RW may take you. Hope to see you back in Istanbul soon!

Yes Ilai!
This violence should end, and it will because we want it to.
Our solidarity and belief in humanity will show these abusive and cold blooded people that we too, will not stop our battle to live together, all cultures, in peace. Borders, are not going to threatens us, and make us hate each other, and these wars are only going to get us stronger and more determined to end this madness.
I hope we meet again Ilai, maybe on the Warrior, to make more change and spread our green and peaceful messages.
Warriors do not give up their fights, and peace is the only battle worth waging!
