Martin - Electrician

Crew: Martin
Name: Martin
Nationality: German
Position: Electrician

What is it that you do on a ship that you don't do on land?
I never thought one day I would be on the Rainbow Warrior. The work that I do here, I would never be able to do on land; itÂ’s not possible except on the ships.

What's the one thing you wish you had with you from home? Or what do you miss most right now?
I wish I could walk more than 25m between the bow and the stern of the ship.

Do you know what's the date today?
Yes because of the soccer.

How often do you look at the time?
Three to four times a day at least, when hungry mainly at noon and at 6.

One word or phrase you use a lot on the ship.
“It’s too much!”

How long have you been sailing with Greenpeace? When, what and how was the first time?
IÂ’ve done 3 journeys, 2 for 2 months each and this one 6 weeks.
