Daniel - Deckhand

Nationality: Brazilian
Position: Deckhand
What is it that you do on a ship that you don't do on land?
Spend a good part of the night watching the stars, I donÂ’t get that opportunity on land, thereÂ’s too much light in the city.
What's the one thing you wish you had with you from home? Or what do you miss most right now?
(sigh) my friends, family, and my surf board!Â… and my dogs!
Do you know what's the date today?
I got to know because of the world cup game. But usually I donÂ’t. I just know the day of the month but not of the week.
How often do you look at the time?
Not very often, my watch broke.
One word or phrase you use a lot on the ship.
“Thank you very much, and please” oh and most important “It’s beer o’clock!!”
How long have you been sailing with Greenpeace? When, what and how was the first time?
2 years and one month.
