Video: Fish, Chinese Campaigner on Climate Change in China

Out of the 28 people we've had on board the Arctic Sunrise for our expedition to Petermann Glacier, three were Chinese - two journalists, plus a campaigner from Greenpeace China, known to us all as "Fish". Here's a beautiful little movie that our on board answer to Stanley Kubrick, otherwise known as Stephen Nugent, filmed over the last couple of weeks. Amazing stuff!

Brilliant film - well done Fish. Thank you for sharing it.

Really powerful short film and loved the way it has been put together. I will be sending it to friends and colleagues.

Bests

Neil.

That's made me cry, hope it effects political will in the same way. Huge thanks to Fish and Stephen Nugent for making such a powerful film.

Love the film, hope you get the view rates that this needs. I studied Environmental Sciences, graduating in 1983. It is so depressing that what I knew then suggested that by now the world would be a different place. Politically we are stuck, when the reality is that with the will and the drive all those new industries around green policies should have created new jobs. thank you for this and keep up the good work.

Excellently presented and produced short film but the subtitles shouldn't be in white because they were illegible a lot of the time unfortunately. A bit frustrating when you are desperate to hear/read what the statistics are. Hopefully something will be done about it because it's fairly obviously white writing on snow isn't going to be very visible!

great little film. this is where a dictatorship need not be such a bad thing . china has been able to take massively unpopular decisions before - eg population control. china is a very pragmatic country and can mobilise mass behavioural change if it has a will to do so. our western democracies struggle to take radical and unpopular decisions because they have to cater for the lowest common denominator of human stupidity in order to seduce votes.

Fish, I am full of admiration for you and for your shipmates. It is heartbreaking to see wildlife suffer because of our stupidity. But having visited China several times,I must say I did not see much evidence of the Chinese being at one with animals and nature.....quite the opposite in fact, what with cockfights, etc. I found it most distressing being a vegan and animal welfare campaigner. But keep on doing your thing, you are amazing! XXX

Thank you Fish for that film, and all the people involved in the making of it.
Please carry on the good work you all do.
