"Russian communists launched a campaign against CFL's!
Traditionally incandescent lamps called in Russia "Ilich-bulbs" in honor of Vladimir Ilich Lenin's reforms. The Communists set up a social movement in defense of incandescent lamps "Ilyich Bulb". Their website includes the pledge "We will hide incandescent bulbs and pass them on from generation to generation" - In our opinion, this is a reaction to the recent statement by the President of Russia Medvedev about the importance of energy efficiency for Russia. He also mentioned that "Ban the bulb" law should be passed in Russia."

Our Russian team are still trying to work out if this is a joke or not. Either way we're keeping an (amused) eye on the situation.
