South East Asia to take the brunt of climate change

A new report from the Asian Development Bank finds that South East Asia stands to suffer hugely from climate change. A piece from Nicolas Stern and Haruhiko Kuroda summarises the findings here

The report also points to some possible solutions. South East Asia has yet to build a lot of the infrastructure it needs, and so has the chance to do so in a clean way. To do that they'll need financial and technical support from rich nations, but it can be done.

We've been helping show the way. Last year our Phillipines office secured the passage of a new Renewable Energy Bill for the region. Click here to see a great slideshow of the campaigning that led to the victory.
