Obama leaves the polar bear hanging

You might remember a while back the Polar Bear was declared an endangered species in the USA, but a special note was added to the rule saying that there was no need to try and protect it from climate change.

We'd been hoping that that rule would the thing to become extinct, but it seems that's not going to be the case. Ryan Patterson has the story at the GP USA weblog.

wtf? when is climate change going to be taken seriously??!

Maybe they'll start to do something after we'll become the endangered species as well, global warming is global- so maybe you guys should make a global petition to sign on and then it'll make much bigger impact on goverment in US...

well, in a way certain environmental groups may have been trying to use this issue to make the us gov't do something about climate change, but that's just not about to happen. (not trying to say that we all don't care about the polar bear.) when trying to make gov't and corps do something earth-friendly, as i'm sure gp is aware, one must present them with the dollar sign of how much they'll be losing if they don't or how much they'll be gaining if they do.

I guess in order to change the thinking of the goverment, we need to change our own ways, and that way change our hole sosiety- that's quite a mission...
A lot of people don't even know or aware of those things unfortunatly.
