Comments: Hitchhiker

Hello Andrew and all R.W crew,
With the help of Anders Wirdheim, an ornithologist in Sweden,we have decided that the hitchhiker could be a BRISTLE-THIGHED CURLEW, and as you correctly mentioned, it is a migratory bird, with subarctic breeding grounds, but it spends the winter in tropic habitats.

Good luck to you all,

Ann from Sweden

Hi again,
Anders , the ornithologist wondered if you please could tell us ,where in the Pacific did you find the bird?

Thanks, Ann

At first glance I thought 'that's a curlew'! The beak is the giveaway. Did it make any sounds?
