1. All time favorite book?
Can I say author instead? I read many books from the same person if I like them, and I have three that I come to think of that I nearly covered the complete bibliography of. First one is Joyce Carol Oates, second Karin Fossum, third Milan Kundera.
2. Music that makes you jive?
Different usually the beat and rythm will decide if it makes me jive and the genre doesn't really matter. I also listen to one song or CD one million times over and over again, then never again. Right now that song is "Oh Sombra!" (John Peel Session) with Electrelane. Before I got on board Anthony & the Johnsons was the broken record.
3. What are the words you live by?
Don't cling to plans you have made too hardly, you will miss the things coming your way. But still keep the direction and consult your intuition when in doubt.
4. If you could live your “perfect life”, where would you be, and what would you be doing?
Most probably I would be doing exactly what I am doing now - there is nothing I would want to change or do differently. If confronted with the same choices in life I would make them again. I would only choose to be richer if I could :) But still idealistic. If I was calmer (and maybe when I grow older I will be) I would want to live in a small village on the Croatian coast on the Peninsula Peljesac, where my family have a house. There I would read a lot, eat a lot of fantastic good food, drink the local wine and look at the sea all the time, and probably find a local project to work with.
5. So far, which part of this Baltic Cod campaign has been most memorable?
I think that when we confiscated the net which we found, that was illegal, was very memorable. Especially the enthusiasm of everyone taking part was impressive. But for me all the fishingboats and fishermen we have talked to is probably what I will remember the longest of the things we have done so far.
6. What was your worst fear coming on-board the Arctic Sunrise to join this campaign?
Never finding time or place for myself. Which is the case, but after two weeks I have become used to always having people around me. And I will miss them all when I get off the ship.
7. Describe you personality in three words.
cat, goldfish, love
8. What is your most memorable Greenpeace moment?
Oh hard to say, there are many! But I guess the early memories must be the strongest ones, so I would say my first trip with the Arctic Sunrise in the summer 2003. We were in the Baltic Sea back then as well, and going to south Sweden to clear beaches from the oil spill after Fu Shanghai sunk outside the south coast. I was quite new to the organization and had worked as a fundraiser on the streets of Stockholm for a few months, when I decided to go the ship. That trip made me start loving Greenpeace and what we are about and do. It feels good to be back on this ship again!
