How come you are on a Greenpeace ship?
I started as a Greenpeace activist three and a half years ago and I got the opportunity to come to the Esperanza when she was in Finland in June working for the Ocean campaign. I took the chance to stay working on the ship and it has been a great time. You see so much when you are travelling around the world and I have met the most wonderful people on board the ship.

What are your thoughts on the campaign?
The ocean campaign is a very important campaign as we at the moment see fish species disappear, corals die and at big areas around the world the marine bottom gets emptier. There are so many issues worth fighting for that it is sometimes hard to know where to start. Oil tankers are of course a big subject in the campaign and highly destructive for the sea habitat if there is an accident, so with the ocean campaign in Norway where we are working to get marine reserves, we try to get more environmental friendly fishing as well as a more strict regulation of oil tankers. Therefore I would say that this campaign is most important for both Norway and other parts of the world.

What do you miss the most from home when you are out at sea?
I miss my family, friends and my cozy, warm bed.
