Nuclear charm offensive
Now that Tony Blair has spent a lot of time talking about global warming he is finally suggesting some action - renewable energy, efficiency measures and emission controls you might think? No, of course not - those are unproven and could be "economically damaging".
The answer is really more nuclear power and Tony set up his own review to prove himself right - sounds just like the run up to the Iraq war. Maybe parts of the review (only 3 years after the last one that ruled out nuclear power till at least 2010) will be copied straight from a nuclear industry website?
I've got a personal suggestion for Tony's next bright idea - the CarbonCondom, just as effective as nuclear power at tackling climate change. Unfortunately I don't think it will be a hit unless I can find an expensive PR firm to market it as a solution.
