killed when the rooster slashed the man's thigh and groin, causing him to bleed

And a 43-year-old man died of a
gunshot wound shortly after telling his wife he was going to use his rifle to
club to death the couple's Chinese shar-pei dog because it had bitten him; with
no other explanation apparent, police suspect that the rifle accidentally
