Should Greenpeace have a sense of humour?
With the launch of the new Greenpeace site, we have been trying to have more fun with the content and present a more human side of Greenpeace on the site. For me, one of the most distinctly human qualities is humour. Sometimes my cat does things I think are very silly, but she never laughs at herself.
So why not get across an important point in a humorous was, even if it does mean making fun of ourselves?
However, Im getting the impression here in the office that not everyone thinks that this is appropriate. Are we all just taking ourselves a bit too seriously? Have we forgotten that we live in a world where most people would rather laugh than shout?
What do you think?

Hey what kind of humour is that? We've beaching for some time already against Bush, and still he won't accept any agreement with our Unions. It's a drama!

I have been thinking exactly the same the last couple of days ... have we crossed a line here? I mean, the headline for this one was bad enough:

I suggest that you add to the style guide: "No references to popular music in the headlines".
